Summary

This Global FMCG Company has a multi provider, multi tower outsourced model. Alsbridge were engaged to support strategy development as the deals were coming to the end of term.

Objectives

End of term strategy. To assess HR, Procurement, Infrastructure, Applications and F&A outsourcing deals and make a recommendation on what should happen with each deal at the end of term.

Activities

  • Current state analysis of outsourced scope, volumes, and performance against service targets.
  • Contract benchmarking – using Alsbridge’s proprietary contact evaluation tool we benchmarked this client’s service levels and pricing against the market.
  • Issue diagnosis – a deep dive into issue areas to understand root cause of service or relationship failure.
  • Market landscape assessment – for each function we set out what the supplier landscape currently looks like to allow rapid selection of suppliers in the event of a retender.End of term strategy recommendation – for each function we set out recommendations for what should be done on each deal at the end of its term (retender, renegotiate, insource, best of breed etc...). We also set out an immediate plan of actionable items to optimise deal performance in the near-term, as well as overarching recommendations for supplier management and outsourcing governance.
Results

Alsbridge‘s robust evaluation and analysis process enabled the client to understand the reasons for sub-optimal deal performance and provided concrete actions to fix the issues. We produced a clear and pragmatic strategy for end of deal term to which all functions aligned.

Testimonial

“Alsbridge added real value in two areas: 1) knowing the outsourcing market, what works and what doesn't; and, 2) knowing the offshore landscape and how to benefit from it. In both areas their experience and knowledge helped us make the right decisions quickly and rigorously."
