Contract & Commercial

To work effectively an outsourcing deal needs to have in place a contract that is fair and reasonable to both parties, and sets out clearly the expectations both parties have shared regarding services, service levels, charges and charging mechanism, business continuity provisions, governance, continuous improvement and other matters.

Whist legal advice is necessary in any contracting, Alsbridge has extensive experience of helping clients develop the operational schedules that underpin the contract and set the tone for its day-to-day operations.  Through this extensive experience, we have built up a database of best practice contract terms and conditions in our Contract Evaluation Tool.  This enables us to quickly analyse on a number of dimensions (e.g. transition, service operations and business terms), how far a proposed or current deal represents good value.  We are then able to advise on how to improve the contract terms and schedules so that they are workable and properly set out the rights and obligations of both parties.

Allied to contracting, organisations need to ensure that their outsourcing deals represent good commercial value.  Alsbridge maintains close but independent contact with all the major service providers, can advise of whether good value is being obtained and, in many situations, how better value can be obtained.  This advice is backed up by our BPO Benchmark tool and IT Pro Benchmark product, enabling easy comparison against the market.  Alsbridge is well placed to provide benchmark services for many clients as part of their current outsourced contracts.
