Summary

This UK based Business Services Company was preparing for a major ERP enabled transformation programme. With some plans to continue on the captive shared services route, Alsbridge was asked to evaluate the comparable benefits available from outsourcing and to recommend a way forward. In addition, Alsbridge led the selection of an ERP solution and a potential systems integrator.

Objectives
 
To perform a detailed analysis of feasible HR, Finance, IT and Procurement sourcing options and recommend the best fit strategy. Develop an Implementation Road Map. Facilitate selection of an ERP solution and a systems integrator.
 
Activities
  • HR sourcing strategy – feasibility and comparison of captive service centre and outsourced service delivery. Detailed 5 year business case, implementation strategy and roadmap
  • Finance sourcing strategy - feasibility and comparison of captive service centre and outsourced service delivery. Detailed 5 year business case, implementation strategy and roadmap
  • IT – Assessment of as-is organisation and recommendations for rationalisation of internal operations ahead of full sourcing strategy analysis.
  • Procurement rationalisation – analysis of as-is procurement activity and identification of savings opportunities
  • ERP selection – cross-functional requirements analysis, platform comparison and recommendation, systems integrator evaluation and recommendation. Detailed business case.
  • Systems Integrator (SI) Selection – identification of a shortlist of Si’s and facilitation of the selection process though provision of scenarios for demonstration and evaluation criteria.
Results
  
Alsbridge presented a robust multi-functional evaluation and analysis, enabling the client to understand the options available to them and financial implications, and agree on target end state and the best strategy for implementation.
