Contract Evaluation Tool

The CET has been developed by Alsbridge to provide a means of evaluating the quality and sustainability of our clients outsourcing contracts. It assesses the maturity of a given sourcing contract against best practices in the market and provides a structured framework to evaluate the contract.

This tool provides a detailed, independent review of strengths/weaknesses within a clients outsourcing contract, and highlight areas for improvement. The contract review is structured by the tools two outputs. The first is a bar chart which evaluates the clauses and terms of the contract against best practice benchmarks.

Contract versus best practice

There are 10 key areas for review including: Definition and Key contract data, Governance and Escalation, Transition, Process, document and reporting, Operations, Employees, Business Terms, Legal Terms, Contract Charging and Termination and Exit. These best practice benchmarks have been calculated from proprietary research and analysis of Alsbridge data.

The evaluation of the contract also, importantly reviews the contract favourability. This assists in establishing the sustainability of the contract. The results are plotted and ideally will fall within the "sustainability zone".

Contract favourability and sustainability

The independent review includes explanation for results and variances and advises on bridging any gaps. These results enable the client to take action or renegotiate as appropriate.
