John Sheridan
Director, Head of ITO Practice
John is Head of Alsbridge's ITO Practice. He has over 20 years procurement, programme and commercial management experience gained primarily within the ITO and BPO marketplace and is an expert in defining, shaping and negotiating complex outsourcing relationships. Throughout his career he has taken a leadership role in all aspects of the sourcing lifecycle from both the client’s and the service provider’s perspective and his pragmatic and practical approach is widely acknowledged.
Prior to joining Alsbridge John gained supplier side experience from companies including Hewlett-Packard, where he held a variety of commercial / negotiating roles over a 10 yr period; Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he helped shape and conclude a number of major BPO contracts; and PwC where he contributed to the development and execution of both BPO and ITO deals. He has worked with clients from a range of private sector industries, including retail, travel, technology/telecoms, and energy/utilities and has good experience of public sector/utilities procurement.
John holds the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, is a regular contributor to industry blogs and journals, and is a member of the editorial board for Outsource Magazine, a market-leading independent publication dedicated to the outsourcing industry.
