At Alsbridge plc we are committed to the fulfilment of our corporate social responsibilities, from our day-to-day ‘green’ approach in the office to our pledge to hold quarterly charity events to raise money for our annual focus charities. We pride ourselves on our consistent provision of an ethical and lawful approach to each of our endeavours, considering always our impact on society at large.
We divide our CSR approach into four principal spheres: Environment, Workplace, Marketplace and Community.
Environment
Our Environmental Initiative is simplistic yet effective. We actively seek to reduce our carbon footprint and we encourage a green approach to our employees on a day-to-day basis through our provision of recycling facilities and numerous energy saving applications.
Workplace
Social responsibility within the workplace is of utmost importance to us at Alsbridge plc. We aim to provide employees with as many opportunities as possible to better themselves by encouraging acquisition of new skills and by considering carefully scope for individual career progression. We are devoted to challenging employees to maximise their full potential whilst supporting any initiatives to improve the work-life balance of our valued staff. We conduct regular surveys of staff motivation and openly encourage staff to bring forward any grievances they might have and are committed to doing all we can to address them.

Marketplace
Alsbridge plc complies with all relevant legislation and maintains a high standard of financial control. Our standard contract terms are fair and we seek to pay suppliers accurately and on time. We proactively seek feedback from clients, suppliers, including our associate network and have a simple yet highly effective complaints resolution procedure in place.
Community
At Alsbridge plc we strive continuously to make a positive contribution to both the local and wider community.
Our most recent venture is our involvement with Waltham Forest Education Business Partnership. Waltham Forest EBP assists young people in their transition to working life. By creating links between schools and businesses, they play an important role in providing youngsters with the opportunity to realise their full potential and develop essential skills for the workspace. This formal certification will enable young people to take on work experience at our UK HQ, where they will receive one-on-one mentoring and support from the management team.
We are pleased to announce the selection of our focus charities for 2010, which were selected by ballot at the company’s recent away day: “Macmillan Cancer Support” and “CHICKs – Country Holidays for Inner City Kids”. The charities were selected by personal choice of the staff, and will receive an equal share of all donations made and monies raised via the various fund raising activities conducted by the Alsbridge European team.
- Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of all people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support to both patients of cancer and carers, families and even entire communities. Their admirably ambitious primary goal is to reach and improve the lives of each and everyone living with or alongside cancer.
- CHICKs aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with the life enhancing experience of a free respite break away in the countryside at one of their centres in Devon or Cornwall. The charity helps those from an overwhelming variety of different backgrounds from the children of prisoners to children who have been abused, either physically, emotionally or sexually. CHICKs also provide breaks for young carers. We are currently in the process or organising a pub quiz fundraising event for the entire supplier community to raise money for both Macmillan and CHICKs.
At Alsbridge plc, we have a focused but impressive approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As well as fundraising for our focus charities, once a year we vow to match the largest charitable donation given by any Alsbridge employee. Over the last 7 years we have initiated a host of successful projects and events aimed at giving back to society as a whole and will continue to do so with pleasure in the future.
