Alsbridge were selected to provide overall Programme Management of the Carter Review of Pathology Services, as well as to provide specific expert support on the available options for the delivery of pathology specific IT systems. Lord Carter of Coles recommended consolidation of NHS Pathology services in England into 10-15 centres.

KCH sought a strategic partner with a view to becoming one of the ‘Carter’ centres. KCH engaged Alsbridge to structure a public procurement exercise and subsequently negotiate a ground breaking complex contractual arrangement to enable KCH to be a member, supplier and customer of the Joint Venture. Alsbridge were retained through transition, Go Live and subsequent interim contract management.

Alsbridge were selected to develop the Pathology operating model, business case and implementation plan for an innovative, future proofed solution for the seven NHS Trusts to consider in July 2011.
